Benjamin Low
Director
Benjamin is a director that believes that a film should always intrigue the mind, delight the senses, or illuminate the soul. Which is why he continues to hone his craft to refine his vision and put these beliefs into practice.
He is a graduate of LASALLE’s Puttnam School of Film and Animation, with a BA (Hons) in Film on an IMDA Scholarship, and also a Temasek Polytechnic’s Moving Images alumni.
Besides directing and writing his own narrative and commercial works, he also has a varied industry experience over the past decade. Working on television commercials, web series, and feature films as Assistant Director and various Production roles for many prolific production houses in Singapore.
More recently he has been commissioned to direct for Viddsee’s Scene City - “Signature”, a drama about two kids forging their mother’s signature. His other recent projects includes producing another Viddsee short film - “Recital”, as well as taking on Assistant Director roles for local feature film “Ajooma” and Netflix productions in Singapore (“Mr Midnight”) and Vietnam (“A Tour Guide to Love”).
Though his own body of narrative works lean towards genre thriller-drama films, his approach as a filmmaker is to draw inspiration from many disciplines. Which in turn influences his works and approach in making them.
