Alistair Quak

Alistair is a film director whose works ranges across various genres and stories which he passionately translates from script to screen.

Instinctively he is able to bring many film elements together and knows how they work best on screen. His unique flair and style is what defines him as a filmmaker.

Benjamin is a film director with close to a decade of experience in short films and promos. He believes that a film should always intrigue the mind, delight the senses, or illuminate the soul.

Everyone has a story to tell. So he draws inspiration from their emotive core, which in turn influences his works and approach in making them.

Leon Tai

Leon is a post-production specialist with a diversity of interests ranging from cadistry and streetwear, to dogs and movies. Leon never fails to bring fresh perspectives to the projects he makes.

His keen taste in style is reflected in his work, weaving stories and adding flair to them. Rumour has it that his editing kung-fu levels up if you give him brown rice.

Dzulkhairi

Dzul’s specialty as a cinematographer is channeled into his work as a gaffer. He believes that the smallest of details, be it visually or emotionally, can make a big difference to a film.

Drawing inspiration from contemporary cinematographers, his observation and care for such details enhances the films that he works on.

Png Zhen Yu

Zhen Yu (Fish) is a director and producer, whose films revolve around human emotions and values. He prefers looking into the little things that most people would see, hear and feel but often disregard and take for granted.

He has a talent for delving into these hidden moments, setting the mood and letting those moments breathe on screen.

Alistair Quak

Director

 
 

Alistair is a director whose work spans an array of genres. He strives to push the boundaries of storytelling with his visceral cinematic stye, and endeavours to deliver the best experience for his audiences and clients.

His directorial works have won numerous awards (National Youth Film Awards, Crowbar Awards), and featured at festivals such as the Cannes International Film Festival (Court Mertage). During his BA (Hon) Filmmaking understudies at Nanyang Technological University (Art, Design and Media), Alistair has written, directed, and edited commercials for companies such as Metro, Bata, and Scoot amongst many other.

Recently he has worked on Queen of Hearts, a Viddsee original series where he co-directed an episode shot entirely on iPhone. His latest work for his graduation project at NTU was Progress, a dystopian sci-fi action film that was nominated at the National Youth Film Awards in 2019.

Alistair has been passionately making short films since his secondary school days, and aims to bring that passion onto more larger scale projects that showcases his cinematic ambition.

Benjamin Low

Director

 
 

Benjamin is a director that believes that a film should always intrigue the mind, delight the senses, or illuminate the soul. Which is why he continues to hone his craft to refine his vision and put these beliefs into practice. 


He is a graduate of LASALLE’s Puttnam School of Film and Animation, with a BA (Hons) in Film on an IMDA Scholarship, and also a Temasek Polytechnic’s Moving Images alumni.


Besides directing and writing his own narrative and commercial works, he also has a varied industry experience over the past decade. Working on television commercials, web series, and feature films as Assistant Director and various Production roles for many prolific production houses in Singapore.

More recently he has been commissioned to direct for Viddsee’s Scene City - “Signature”, a drama about two kids forging their mother’s signature. His other recent projects includes producing another Viddsee short film - “Recital”, as well as taking on Assistant Director roles for local feature film “Ajooma” and Netflix productions in Singapore (“Mr Midnight”) and Vietnam (“A Tour Guide to Love”).

Though his own body of narrative works lean towards genre thriller-drama films, his approach as a filmmaker is to draw inspiration from many disciplines. Which in turn influences his works and approach in making them.

Png Zhen Yu

Director | Producer

 
 

Zhen Yu is Director and Producer who believes in creating strong and meaningful stories. He is a graduate from Nanyang Technological University’s Art Design and Media with a BA (Hons) in Filmmaking.

He has worked on television and agency commercials, short films and corporate videos over the span of his 7 years in the film industry. However his first love is still narrative films, and his notable works includes A Day’s Reunion, and Mobile Love Van which won Gold for Directing at the Singapore Crowbar Awards 2013.

In 2018, Zhen Yu was selected to create Grey for Temasek Holding’s 20/20 Short Film Project, and was also commissioned by the National Arts Council to write and direct Love in a Convenience Store for the Silver Arts Festival.


More recently he directed his final year project Bodhi, a story about a mother coming to terms with her son becoming a monk, and Way Back When an original web series for Viddsee.
