Png Zhen Yu
Director | Producer
Zhen Yu is Director and Producer who believes in creating strong and meaningful stories. He is a graduate from Nanyang Technological University’s Art Design and Media with a BA (Hons) in Filmmaking.
He has worked on television and agency commercials, short films and corporate videos over the span of his 7 years in the film industry. However his first love is still narrative films, and his notable works includes A Day’s Reunion, and Mobile Love Van which won Gold for Directing at the Singapore Crowbar Awards 2013.
In 2018, Zhen Yu was selected to create Grey for Temasek Holding’s 20/20 Short Film Project, and was also commissioned by the National Arts Council to write and direct Love in a Convenience Store for the Silver Arts Festival.
More recently he directed his final year project Bodhi, a story about a mother coming to terms with her son becoming a monk, and Way Back When an original web series for Viddsee.
